Areas of Interest

Professionally, that is.

Data Engineering

The best insights are created through clean and detailed data lineages. From simple imports to complex and larger 'big data' ecosystems, I take pride in helping organizations create a more efficient analytics architecture.

Data Visualization

A compelling work of art is made of simple materials. May it be paint, clay, marble, or the vast array of materials used - put in the hand of an artist, you can make something captivating. By taking data and applying different approaches, you tell a vivid story. I aim to tell a story worth sharing.

Cloud Computing

Four words often at the root of many headaches are Encryption, Authentication, and Disaster Recovery. While I thoroughly enjoy the idea of creating complex catalysts for technological revolution - it wouldn't be possible on a tight budget, let alone one I'd feel was secure. Creating a safe scalable solution isn't just a great option to protect small business owners, but one to enable larger enterprises to focus on what truly matters - innovation.

Machine Learning

Much like the invention of the steam engine, printing press, and computer changed the way each of us lived I truly believe ML/AI is right there with it. If you're driving to work, playing a video game, working a dangerous job, or managing your finances, you're going to be greatly impacted by this technology more often than you'd probably be comfortable knowing. Being at the forefront of such a technology isn't just exciting, but overwhelming thrilling!

About Me

...outside of work

My family and two fur-babies are who I spend most of my time with outside the computer screen. I also enjoy channeling my internal Neil Armstrong, exploring new places and unchartered territories! Whether it’s finding a new city for a weekend trip, hiking a new trail, or heading out for a day on the water I love to traverse ‘God’s Green Earth’.

When I’m not out getting lost, I’m spending time in the kitchen cooking meals that never seem to look like the pictures from the Facebook recipe I found or I’ll be at the gym training to eventually write my name in history lifting the famous ‘Manhood Stones’ around Scotland.
